Why watch this film?
Fans flock to a festival celebrating the most iconic horror movies, only to discover that the charismatic showman behind the event has a diabolical agenda. As festival attendees start dying off, three teenagers more schooled in horror-film cliches than practical knowledge about neutralizing psycho killers must band together and battle through various men and monstrosities to survive.
"In recent years, the slasher genre has been receiving a lot of homage. Films from all over the world and from different filmmakers have been looking for ways to pay tribute to classic productions like Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween. Now, Blood Fest attempts to bring together the maximum number of references from the genre in an incredibly fun plot: young people go to a party to celebrate these bloody cinematic baths. Obviously, it's not a movie to be taken seriously. Many things are exaggerated, and some aren't even done well. But the homage is there, showing how slasher challenged standards and brought a new look to horror cinema. Traditional fans of the genre will certainly have a good time."
