'Petite Maman' is a sensitive film about grief with the perspective of Nelly, an eight-year-old girl who has just lost her grandmother. One day her mother, Marion, disappears and she meets a girl, also named Marion. Gradually she discovers that the child is actually the younger version of her own mother. In a very poetic way, Céline Sciamma speaks about time travel while showing us how grief is different for each person."
