After all, this Netflix exclusive tells the story of a deaf woman who must defend herself against a killer trying to kill her in her own home. Although director Mike Flanagan (of 'Doctor Sleep' and 'The Haunting of Hill House') resorts to some formulas and banalities of the genre, 'Hush' hit the mark by creating tension and changing some slasher movie paradigms.
