In 17th century New England, a family settles on a corn farm close to a dense forest. The first indication that something is wrong there is that the couple's baby mysteriously disappears. Other sinister facts will haunt the characters. A mix of suspense and terror that catches the viewer not for easy scares - but for inner fear.

One of the most terrifying and surprising horror films since "Get Out" - though completely different from it. Showcased at Sundance, the feature was highly praised by critics and audiences alike, mainly for its disturbing atmosphere. Special mention to Toni Collette's ("Little Miss Sunshine") performance, which is impeccable.

The Brazilian producer Rodrigo Teixeira s forces again with director Robert Eggers (who together were responsible for the success of 'The Witch') to dive back into the world of horror - now with beautiful black and white photography. The story takes place in a desolate place, a lighthouse, and bets on a small cast (with Willem Dafoe from 'Eternity's Gate' and Robert Pattinson from 'Good Behavior') to involve us with fears, worries and hallucinations caused by isolation. It is a movie that requires patience and a sharp eye, but if you let yourself be carried away by the atmosphere, you will be rewarded.

A comedy horror unlike any other, 'In Fabric' is one of those provocative and inventive films that make us think, "Where did they come up with this idea?" Here, director and screenwriter Peter Strickland (of 'Katalin Varga') tells the story of a cursed dress. That's right. And just like Annabelle leaves a trail of chaos in her wake, this piece of clothing also leaves its mark on the lives of those who wear it. There are no big moments here, it seems that the best of the movie stayed in the premise. However, Strickland's breath of creativity, as well as the daringness of the proposal, help make the film cause an interesting mix of fear, laughter and apprehension. It's worth the adventure.

Rose Glass's debut is simply a sophisticated yet chilling mix of psychological thriller and body horror, through a tale about loneliness, femininity, trauma, obsession, and the thin line between absolute devotion and mental illness. 'Saint Maud', which made its debut at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival, is an incredible journey that seems like a mix between 'First Reformed' and supernatural horror classics like 'The Exorcist', with excellent acting from lead Morfydd Clark ('The Personal Life of David Copperfield'), conveying a perverse energy in her role as a woman whose body becomes the battleground for her own faith and darkness.
